GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps. Draw a square which will act as the frame of the elephant portrait.
GRID STEP. Outline the general shape of the head, the ears and the upper body of the elephant.
GRID STEP. Erase redundant lines inside the head. Sketch the elephant trunk.
GRID STEP. Add inner lines of the ears. Sketch eyes. Refine the shape of the trunk by adding and erasing inner lines.
GRID STEP. Detail the eyes and the trunk.
GRID STEP. Work on the whole figure of the elephant, adding more details to the eyes, the mouth and the ears.
