How to draw The Starry Night by Van Gogh from Famous paintings

GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.
1) Draw a vertical rectangle that will define the conditional proportions and boundaries of the chosen drawing. 2) From the upper boundary of the rectangle draw two vertical lines that will divide the rectangle by 3 equal parts. 3) From the middle of the right boundary of the rectangle, draw one horizontal line equally dividing the shape. 4) Draw a horizontal line equally dividing the upper half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a horizontal line equally dividing the bottom half of the rectangle.

GRID STEP. First, draw the auxiliary lines.

GRID STEP. Outline the silhouette of the cypress tree. Draw the horizon line.

GRID STEP. Improve the shape of the cypress. Draw line and a swirling stripe at the back.

GRID STEP. Draw a building at the back. Add stripes to the inside of the cypress tree. Draw waves in the sky.

GRID STEP. Add shapes in the sky. Draw the houses.

GRID STEP. Finish the cypress. Draw some stripes on the background. Sketch the trees. Erase excess auxiliary lines.

GRID STEP. Work on the background. Draw windows and stripes on the roofs.

GRID STEP. Add meek dashes and shapes to the background.

GRID STEP. Check that there are no extra lines in the drawing. Contour picture, trying to vary the thickness and darkness of the line.

GRID STEP. Colour in the picture and bring it to life. Enjoy your drawing!
