How to draw a Realistic Cat
How to draw a Realistic Cat from Animals
step-1
GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.
1) Draw a rectangle that will define the conditional proportions and boundaries of the chosen drawing. 2) From the middle of the rectangle, draw one vertical and one horizontal line equally dividing the shape. 3) Draw another horizontal line equally dividing the upper half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a horizontal line equally dividing the bottom half of the rectangle. 4) Draw a vertical line equally dividing the left half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a vertical line equally dividing the right half of the rectangle.
step-2
GRID STEP. Mark off the width and height of the cat. Draw two ovals that will help to outline the head and body. Draw a line, which will act as the center of the head.
step-3
GRID STEP. With smooth lines, add guidelines for the neck, back, and tail.
step-4
GRID STEP. Define, with light lines, the muzzle features. Draw guidelines for the legs.
step-5
GRID STEP. Draw the shapes of the legs and ears.
step-6
GRID STEP. Outline the cat’s face, eyes, tail and toes.
step-7
GRID STEP. Draw some additional lines to show the ears. Define the places for the nose, pupils and jaw.
step-8
GRID STEP. Outline the cat, paying attention to details.
step-9
GRID STEP. Contour, trying to vary the thickness and blackness of the line. Draw more details and the ground. Erase all guidelines.
