How to draw a Nile Crocodile
How to draw a Nile Crocodile from Animals
step-1
GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.
1) Draw a rectangle that will define the conditional proportions and boundaries of the chosen drawing. 2) From the middle of the rectangle, draw one vertical and one horizontal line equally dividing the shape. 3) Draw another horizontal line equally dividing the upper half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a horizontal line equally dividing the bottom half of the rectangle. 4) Draw a vertical line equally dividing the left half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a vertical line equally dividing the right half of the rectangle.
step-2
GRID STEP. Mark off the width and height of the picture. Draw two ovals for the crocodile’s head and body. Draw a smooth guideline for the head.
step-3
GRID STEP. Draw the shape of the body. Add guidelines for the body and tail.
step-4
GRID STEP. Add the snout (the upper jaw) and tail of the crocodile.
step-5
GRID STEP. Define the proportions of the legs and feet. Mark, with a short line, the lower jaw point.
step-6
GRID STEP. Delineate the legs and the lower jaw of the Nile crocodile.
step-7
GRID STEP. Draw toes. Indicate the head shape. Add eyes and scales on the tail.
step-8
GRID STEP. Work on the Nile crocodile, paying attention to details such as claws, nostrils, and teeth.
step-9
GRID STEP. Contour, trying to vary the thickness and blackness of the line. Draw more details and the ground. Erase all guidelines.
