How to draw a scuba diver
How to draw a scuba diver from People
step-1
GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.
1) Draw the upper border for the figure. 2) From the upper border, moving downward, tentatively determine the position of the head and draw an oval to represent its conditional size. 3) Draw a vertical line through the middle of the head. This will be the central vertical line of the figure. 4) From the upper border of the figure, draw four commensurate segments equal to the height of the head. The last segment will act as the lower boundary of the figure. Through the boundaries of the segments, draw horizontal lines. 5) From the central vertical line of the figure, measure and draw: • One segment equal to the width of the head – to the left of the line. • One segment equal to half the width of the head – to the left of the line. • Eight segments of equal head width – to the right of the line. Through the boundary of each segment, draw vertical lines. The extreme left and right segments will act as the vertical boundaries of the figure.
step-2
GRID STEP. Mark off the width and height of the scuba diver. Add guidelines for his body. Draw his head. Add a line, which will act as the center of his head.
step-3
GRID STEP. Draw the shape of the diver’s body and neck.
step-4
GRID STEP. Show the proportions of the scuba diver’s arms, legs and suit.
step-5
GRID STEP. Outline the shape of the arms, legs and mask.
step-6
GRID STEP. Draw the fins, fingers, ear, mask, vest and diving cylinder of the scuba diver.
step-7
GRID STEP. Draw the belt and parts of the cylinder. Detail the fins and mask.
step-8
GRID STEP. Work on the figure, paying special attention to detail.
step-9
GRID STEP. Contour the scuba diver, trying to vary the thickness and darkness of the line. Add more detail and add some bubbles. Erase all guidelines.
