How to draw a mule deer from Animals
step-1
GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.
1) Draw a rectangle that will define the conditional proportions and boundaries of the chosen drawing. 2) From the middle of the rectangle, draw one vertical and one horizontal line equally dividing the shape. 3) Draw another horizontal line equally dividing the upper half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a horizontal line equally dividing the bottom half of the rectangle. 4) Draw a vertical line equally dividing the left half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a vertical line equally dividing the right half of the rectangle.

GRID STEP. Mark off the width and height of the picture. Draw two ovals for the head and body of the mule deer. Draw a line, which will act as the center of its head.

GRID STEP. Draw the shape of the deer’s body and neck. Add a smooth guideline for its tail.

GRID STEP. Define with guidelines the places for the deer’s legs, eyes and snout.

GRID STEP. Sketch the shapes of the legs, ears and snout of the mule deer. Add guidelines for its horns.
step-6
GRID STEP. Draw the horns. Add the hoofs, eyes, nose and tail of the mule deer. Detail the shapes of the legs, hoofs and snout.
step-7
GRID STEP. Draw the horns of the animal in more detail . Work on the whole figure, paying special attention to detail.
step-8
GRID STEP. Contour the mule deer, trying to vary the thickness and darkness of the line. Add more detail and add snow. Erase all guidelines.
